I love my job
Sure I do!
/I love parking my fat ass at my seat for 8 hours straight (except for lunch and toilet breaks) staring at that 19inch flat screen LCD monitor.
/I love being a whiz in Microsoft Excel and AS400.
/I love being able to create vlookups and pivot tables in split seconds.
/I love looking at 10,000 of SKUs for one brand and updating sales forecast for those SKUs for 5 different stores in various countries.
/I love looking at sales of individual SKU and deciding which door (aka store) is selling better and should receive more of this stock and do the same for 6-7 different brands.
/I love writing emails to the warehouse in Hong Kong and Okinawa, begging them to let me raise orders for delivery the next day just so that some lucky tourist get to browse through these items that we meticulously push out to the store.
/I love looking at the sales target and wonder if I am going to ever get my fat bonus to feed my trip to Korea next year.
/I love the Obon that Japanese are anticipating in August. What a relief for them, its finally the holidays. I love holidays, because I have to fret of shipment deliveries and ensure there's sufficient presentation display units in Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Japan even though I am stick in sunny Singapore, with my butt glued to the chair.
/I love the fact that my manager speaks to me perhaps only about once a week to ask how am I(aka. Are you dead yet?). And other than asking how am I, thereafter I am left to fend for myself and fight the neverending inventory war.
/I love listening to the radio as often as my butt is glued to the seat. I can memorise all the 987fm commercials and also recognise the starting tunes of each hit song now. Such that, when it comes to songs that I hate (Deja vu - Beyonce), I'd pull out my earplugs and listen to the rattling of my keyboard instead.
/I love the fact that I have chocolates in my cupboard but no time to shit, let alone eat chocolates.
/I love the fact that despite all the work, my colleagues seem to miraculously leave no later than 6:30pm. In order not to be the last one left in the office, I am left with no choice but to leave as well.
/I love the fact that everyday I think I can complete today's tasks plus yesterdays but never seem to do so.
/I love being asked to go to the shopfloor and be a sales girl for one day and service the PRC group.
/I love luxury brands, their Made-in-China/Phillipines/Indonesia tags make me think twice about splurging.
/I love working in Orchard, where lunch's at least 6 bucks. (Because I am hopelessly addicted to Sweet Talk's honey milk tea.
/I love dressing corporate for the sake of my dear 19inch lcd monitor. So sleek, so sturdy, so... ridiculous?
/I love being able to surf the internet and MSN at work but do not have the time to do so.
/I love receiving CDs for the latest Burberry's collection but do not have time to
/I love the new season! In fact the beginning of every season! New stock, new stuff, new shit.
/I love feeling giddy with the lack of sleep.
/I love the new direction my company is taking in terms of corporate image. Wearing a pathetic lousy quality lanyard is corporate image.
I have no complaints.
None whatsoever.
