Already down with Monday Blues

At this point, I am undeniably deluded.
Anyhow, I've grown so reliant on my computer, such that when it went down, I felt so much crippled without it over the long weekend.
As much as my brother's computer was there for me to use, it frustrates me to no end. Simply because the internet connection is very screwed, and that just pisses me off quite a bit.
Also, as a result I am actually down with a flu on a Sunday. How nice. Perhaps this flu is not resultant of my computer issues. But I guess this sort of demonstrates my affinity with my dear computer.
Because of some worm, my computer was down for a couple of days, till it was reformatted.
This means, I lost most of my new stuff (pics and mp3) because I was just too lazy to back them up.
Actually I thought I did. But they ain't there in my storage disk when I just checked. So I guess I was too lazy to just copy and paste them over.
So now, I am stuck with old songs.
I was so looking forward to this long weekend.
Now that it has came and went. I am not too sure if it was a long weekend to begin with.
Over this long weekend,
- I actually managed to eat as unhealthily as can be. With maggie mee and campbell soup in a single day.
- I bought a hairdryer for mum. (more like for me as well) Shopping for a hairdryer was crazy, with a overly helpful boy bouncing around me testing out the different types of hairdryers. Frankly, I can't tell the difference between a silent one and a non-silent one.
- Visited Bishan's Junction 8 twice in a row. As much as I am avoiding Orchard, Bishan is not exactly the next best thing.
- I bought and read a James Patterson book (Pop goes the weasel). Because my computer was down, I actually indulged in reading instead. And read I did. Well, the book wasn't too bad. But let's just say it wasn't smashingly good either.
- Visited granny. She's looking much better lately.. let's just leave it as that.
- Watched tons of lame programs on TV (from Volcano High to CSI to Vesak Day special to Superband and some useless Taiwanese Entertainment shows)
- Successfully detached myself from all that Excel shit. (And this is leading me to the near-paranoia state I am in right now)
Come to think of it, I actually had a not too bad weekend.
I'd gladly welcome more of this.
-SOBS-
I am seriously not looking foward to going to work tomorrow.
Especially not with this flu.
This reminds me of how when I was in primary school many years back, I'd hate Mondays so vehemently, and i really cannot understand why. In comparison, school's a blast. All we did was sit in class and listen. Whether or not we really understand what the teachers say are secondary. Why then did I hate Mondays then?
I feel much like a little kid once more.
All I want to do, is stay home and snuggle in bed with a good book every single day.
Can somebody seriously just pay me to read and give reviews?
Right.
I'd go pop a panadol and dream.
