I am not very the happy with the Government.
According to Adrian, 90% of Singaporeans will receive $800 from the
BUT, when I receive the package that they sent out to us this week, I realise the Government thinks I live in a castle, because I only get $600.
I would love to live in a castle, with stone walls, huge rooms, KING size beds, fluffy pillows, huge green fields as gardens, a small river with a bunch of goose, a tower to trap myself in and wait for the knight to come rescue me, a huge diamond studded tiara that I can wear to sleep every single night, dragons in dungeons for me as pets, just so I can set them against my enemies...
Sorry for getting carried away.
But yes, I would love to live in a castle. But I clearly do NOT.
Because of this, I am not very the happy
I honestly think they should start hiring a diverse pool of workforce and not only take in the so-called elites.
Look at the flops you bunch of smartass produced.
Silly bomb shelters that did nothing but make normal individuals claustrophobic. Yes, I get that suffocating, wall crashing down on me feeling whenever I enter the bomb shelters.
Crazy and highly demoralising ideas like the streaming for primary school students. That stupid emphasis on mandarin in schools. Yes, I think them silly, if you like to argue otherwise do so in your own blog. Look at us now, we are not here nor there, and you start calling us unique.
We're chinese, but half of us can't speak mandarin as fluently as our counterparts from China and Taiwan. We speak English predominantly, but listen to us, we hardly sound English as any other part of the world. Till today, we are still unhappy with the CPF/Education/Foreign workers issue.
If it is honestly that good for our nation, why is it many of us are not convinced?
How can we be? When those that are attempting to convince us are high up in the skies? Earning big bucks, oblivious to the situation on Planet Earth? How can we be convinced when many of you are so credible to the point you become unconvincing.
Oh, the shift in a "creative" culture in Singapore, nurturing children to be "creative" and "think out of the box". How do you expect that to happen? When the focus is still on the results and NOT the process?
You don't force change down our throats. Especially so when the surroundings and environment remain very much the same.
You don't expect Singaporeans to embrace sports and arts just because.
So what if you spent the money building that ugly Esplanade?
So what if you spent the money building that sports school?
At the same time, you unrelentlessly continue to focus on results, buying talented sports person from overseas to increase the medal tallies. Hire only graduates from good universities, with a good degree / honours.
When will you begin to realise, it is not the results but the process.
Diversity in a workforce is important. You acknowledge that through building tolerance in this multi-cultural society, so why cannot extend it out to the workforce?
I hate to go on and on and repeat myself.
Perhaps I am the only one who feels this way.
Oh wells. I am just hoping the oppposition parties would come recruit me one day.
BAH!
Then I'll make sure every single HDB flatter gets $800. Plus I love to shake hands with hawkers and carry babies.
Vote for me then ya?
