Like sand through the hour glass

Days of our lives.
It was so cheesy..
I know how many of you would react violently to the ..
"Like sand through the hour class, so are the days of our lives..."
Though sometimes I do wonder.. what is it that turn people off. Is it that man's voice, the thought of that drama, or the lame opening statement, followed by the music.
But really, I use to watch it on-off, when I had the time.
The best part about it?
You'd never lose track of the story plot.

I wasn't going to discuss Days of our Lives in detail.
But I was really thinking.. What did it mean by Like sand through the hour glass
I mean, if you were to watch the sand going through the hour glass.. I would think its fine sand slipping through real quickly. (though really there's like quite a bit of sand.)
And if you were to compare it to the Days of our lives, then I perceive it to mean that our days (like sand are many) slip through us real quick, without us even knowing..
BUT if you were to watch Days of our Lives, you'd know that it is really not the case. The story moves so bloody slowly.. it's almost as if every soap-opera day is an actual day.
Wait a minute.. Every two human days is really one soap opera day.
Hmm..

I miss watching it.
And in case you are foaming now.. the good news is Days of Our Lives have long been gone from our TV. BUT believe it or not, it is still surviving in the States. The last time I checked, I actually read synopsis online. (that was how bored I was).
Days of our Lives aside.. I seriously quite like soap operas.
As much as it is cheesy and draggy.. You'd always get hooked onto it.
Now now, admit it..
The reason why you hate Days of our Lives was because it's mildly addictive and you are disgusted at the fact that you get addicted (however mildly) over stuff like that.

Actually, its quite unfair to soap operas.
When I lived (for a shortwhile) in Australia, I'd catch the afternoon soaps with my mum. And really, those are better really. With a better plot at least.
And you don't feel turned off when the characters take out a water bottle as a mobile phone, and expects you to believe that reflects reality.
Days of our Lives (when it was on Channel 5) is really backdated soap. If you watch the updated ones.. It's not bad really.
Their mobile phones look convincing.

Oh man.
I digressed too much. Said I wasn't going to discuss Days of our lives.
But lookie here!
Guess I did.

Gah.
I forgot the actual purpose of this post already leh..
