The Internet

Yes, I promised I won't be online for the period of the holidays.
But because my blog ran into some problems.. and I had to come back on to save it.

It terrified me when I saw the entire paged filled with a photobucket error.
Truly.

Don't you think the internet is the most interesting invention ever?
I mean literally everything becomes a click away.
Questions you've never really gotten an answer because the encylopedia wasn't really that cheap for everybody to buy.. and face it. The encylopedia cannot contain every single thing that you really need to know. Plus, it will take you ages to search through the encylopedia to get your answer, and its just a short narrative.
With the internet, information becomes so accessible.

Something so good, definitely has its negatives.
With information being so accessible, we now have the problem of protecting intellectual property. This I feel will be a very long and endless battle with no definite outcome. A simple idea person A has, once posted on the internet. It hardly becomes unique to that person. Everyone and anyone can overnight become creative with a bagful of ideas (found on the internet).
Great for those who are seeking ideas, but not that great for those with the ideas.

Others like to abuse the internet.
Through this medium they become the exhibitionist they've never had the opportunity to.
www.sggirls.com is one.
I mean think about it.
Before the advent of the internet, digital cameras, cameraphone, there just ain't enough opportunity for common girls like you and me to do all that.
Who would be interested in a picture showing the cleavage of average looking girls?
Now, with all that technology, pictures are shoved literally under your noses whether you like it or not.
For the males, its a win-win situation.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a pretty face.
Just the body, just the body.

Which makes it all sick.
Often, I wonder what really goes on in the minds of those who post their very suggestive pictures on their blogs, or in those sites (www.sggirls.com)
Don't you really have any sense of decency?
Perhaps I am too old for these stuff.
But there are just some parts of me, I do not wish to share with the world.
It sounds so dramatic now.
THE WORLD.
But really, the internet brings you readers from all over THE WORLD.
Amazing isn't it?

You flash your boobies on blogs/websites.
And suddenly some guy from India/Pakistan/Siberia are looking at them.
Don't your boobies feel violated?

As a reader and internet surfer.
I browse through sites after sites after sites (especially when I am in office)
And there are just so many interesting stuff that you can find online.
Suggestive pictures of females scantily clad in their 2-piece just isn't what I find interesting.
Right.
Because I am a heterosexual female.
But throw me a picture of a naked male model, and it generates just a little less than a buzz.

For me, its not the body.
Everything lies in the mind.

So everytime I see suggestive pictures both males and females.
What strike me first, is not how big the boobies or how flat the stomach is.
Instead..
For me its, "What's that person thinking when the picture is snapped?"

You either enjoy it, or you don't.
I like to think they don't.
And mostly they are forced to do so.
BUT BUT BUT.
I am being delusional.
Who am I kidding?
The population who posts suggestive pictures does it willing.
And I see they enjoy it.

Now the question is.
Did the internet influence people this way.
Or are we all closet exhibitionist waiting for the right medium.

Disclaimer: I mention we not because I have suggestive pictures of my boobies. But yes, like the rest of the population I do take pictures. I do post them up on my blog and friendster.
But no, never will I stoop that low and demean my personal worth by posting pictures of my cleavage (though they are non-existent) or any personal part of me for the general public. NOR do I patronise sites that do.
