Boxing Day
Ever wondered what Boxing Day is really all about?
As kids, my brother and I (like every other) joked around about how Boxing Day was just a day for us to box the hell outta one another.
When I grew older (and wiser) I thought Boxing day was related to well, boxing. (The Muhamad Ali type of boxing).
Then I read somewhere, that it was day where people collected unwanted gifts, boxed them up and donated to the poor.
Today, with the help of Google.
I realise all my previous theories about Boxing Day.. are just well.. theories.

Though I'd say my very last theory is not that far off.
I received no presents from my significant other this Christmas (and the same for previous Christmas). But like I always said, it is not in the presents that we seek, nor does a gift tells you how much you are loved.
(Sadly, no presents, nor actions from the
Anyhow, depressing news aside..
The only thing significant (and really worth mentioning) that I received during the festive season was...

A major bruise.
So let me proudly announce, that I was boxed on boxing day.
Now, how many of you can claim that?
Strangely, this bruise has a tiny bump. I am trying not to be paranoid about what the bump is. And think that I will live past tomorrow. But it disturbs the shit out of me.
Doesn't help when colleagues give me the weird look when they spot the bruise.
Sigh.
How many times must I relate the I-have-an-abusive-boyfriend-who-hits-the-shit-out-of-me story? Tiring you know..
And when it gets to the part, "I sobbed all the way to the clinic".. It somehow gets stale, and I can't bring finish it up.
Anyhow.
I adore long weekends... Like this super duper long one that passed.
We did a whole list of things.
But I wished we could have done more.
But.. whatever la.
Right now..
I am just majorly distracted.
I suddenly feel life is incomplete without the following items.
