Demand and supply
It is simple.
When there is a demand, there would be supply.
I hardly think it works the other way, especially so when it comes to prostitution
Supply is always demand-induced.
Ok, call this a biased feminist girl's perspective for all I care. But it's logical. Isn't it?
Say, most (old) men are horny, and they can't screw their wives anymore (because the novelty's lost). And they are constantly on a hunt for fresh meat to engage with. So, the women out there driven by poverty turn to prostitution to solve yet another economic problem. That is, unlimited wants, scarce resources. In this case, the poor (wealth-wise) women have insufficient money (scarce resources), and virtually unlimited wants (pay bills, eat, stay alive). Thus, they turn to prostitution and are part of the supply in the prostitution demand and supply model.
Isn't this so?
But like all graphs and models, it only provides a hypothetical point of view. Its always just theory and hardly ever applicable to reality.
I use to think that prostitutes were pitiful.
And to a certain extent, I actually admire their courage and strength, because some are in it not because they have a choice, but are coerced.
Imagine having sex to weirdos is your job.
Nobody respects your body as it is supposed to be. People use you like you are an object, unworthy of emotions.
The grossest of all, you got to have sex with men you do not love.
That was what I thought, till I blog surfed and chance upon a high-class prostitute who has the choice on who she chooses to screw (for money).
Ok, maybe all along I've been in denial, and I never acknowledged the possibility that there would be people like that.
But when reality hit, and I realise that I have all along been generalising and assuming that prostitutes are prostitutes because of their situation and not of choice.. it totally disturbed me.
How can people choose to disrespect their body and themselves to such level?
Really.
How can anyone choose to have sex for money. Yes, they have a choice.
Your body is the most personal thing that uniquely differentiate itself from others. YET, one can choose to degrade themselves and sell it, treat it like an object and offer to others in return of cash.
It's strange. I still cannot understand how, or why some females can choose to be prostitutes.
I can understand if you love sex, and cannot help but sleep around. But to ask for sex in return of money?
Kinda kill 2 birds with 1 stone ain't it?
You are paid to be pleasured, and you so totally deserved to be scorned.

I amazed myself today.
Woke up at 7:03am.
I managed to bathe, choose my clothes, make up, grab my bag and leave my house at 7:25am.
I did everything in like 22 minutes can.
If there's a related competition, I think I can be amongst the top 3.
25 more days to Taiwan.
I think I deserve this break.
